    Sep 25, 2013 · From what I found online, it seems that Mozilla removed support for the embed tag in version 22 (which I skipped over going from 20 to 24). They want you to use the "object" tag. I'm been messing around with 3 different ways to embed audio into a webpage when the page loads. I got it working IE9, FF20, and Chrome 28.

    May 08, 2008 · That's why when you have an embed inside an object, IE does not render the embed (it rendered the object), and why Firefox does (it could not render the object) What you should be able to do is replace the embed with another object - this will work in all browsers apart from IE, which will stupidly try to render both.
