On OpenSim grids, mesh should never be uploaded using “Analyze”. Analyze should only be used on grids that support Havok. On Firestorm 5.0.11, mesh uploaded with Analyze is likely to render invisible when FSEnforceStrictObjectCheck is set to true.

If a mesh face is set to show a baked texture but is not attached to an avatar, you will see a default baked texture. If you are using an older viewer without bakes on mesh support, then faces set to show baked textures will also display as the default baked texture, and base mesh regions will not be hidden.

The Firestorm team has tried in the past to engage the OpenSim community to keep features more at parity and there hasn’t always been cooperation there. But I find myself worrying that some new features going into the SL viewer (bake on mesh for instance) wont make it into the OpenSim viewer because someone has the view its not needed.
