Jun 27, 2014 · at least, eot is not worse than many other strange formats, supported by fontforge :) . And adding basic eot support is cheap (even more simple than woff). Do as you wish. I no longer use fontrofge in fontello and don't depend on this ticket. Just share with you collected experience, when i can.

This might be a surprise, but it is both possible and encouraged to pay for FontForge support when things go wrong. When other font editors with similar comprehensive features cost hundreds of US dollars, if we each pay a similar amount to FontForge developers to get our most annoying bugs fixed, FontForge will become better and better.

Microsoft submitted EOT specifications to W3C few months ago, it would be nice if FontForge can generate EOT fonts, so that people who want to use web fonts can get around IE limitation. Though, I'm not sure if the submitted specification is enough technically/legally.

I need to use @font-face feature and my fonts are in OTF/TTF format and Microsoft browsers support only EOT format. I tried to use Microsoft tool WEFT, but it didn't work or I didn't understand how it works.
