Dec 29, 2010 · Plug it in either an Intel or nVidia chipset desktop machine with XP SP-2 and I get the Found New Hardware and Unknown Device boxes at the toolbar. This is confirmed in Device Manager. The enclosed floppy is a model D353G.

Nov 15, 2010 · Same problem as before reread post 1# and 5#. Can not use most USB devices, DVD roms, or reinstall Windows XP. Anytime I plug something new in, as soon as "Found New Hardware" pops up, it causes services.exe to spike to 100% CPU. It does not install any new drivers and the computer slows to a complete halt.

Jul 26, 2006 · At startup I am getting a "found new hardware" dialogue box. Specifically a PCI Device of which I truly believe I don't have or at least after cancelling the installation of the driver a hundred times I am obviously not missing whatever it thinks I should have.

Sep 02, 2006 · found new printer - still a problem Hello. Thanks for all the input. I'm still stumped by this problem. It drastically slows down the startup process and interferes with other applications until all the "found new printer" windows are displayed and closed. I tried removing the LPTENUM registry key in Safe Mode without any luck.
