For example, certain versions of Freehand had fairly decent collections of vector-based clip art while Adobe has never really put much effort into bundling similar goodies into Illustrator. I wonder if the move to 64-bit code forced the elimination of Freehand support.

Jun 28, 2012 · Freehand is not supported in Lion or Mountain Lion so you can't open Freehand if you have the latest OS. I have a legacy machine that has Snow Leopard and Freehand but it also has CS4 AI so I just open the files that way. The issue is wanting to run the latest OS and Apps. That said, this solution doesn't work for those with the latest OS and CS6.

Oct 08, 2012 · Moving on a new Mac Os, before Lion, rarely implied that I had to abandon my preferred tools. In old days, on Mac I don't remember the MacOs version, I did my choice of tools between Illustrator 1.1 and FreeHand 1.x.
