Oct 01, 2011 · I installed skype and fring from Ovi Store. Voice calls from skype and fring are not working at all. Skype voice calls are displaying "skype call failed" while fring voice calls are hanging the phone totally. Chat sessions from skype and fring are working though. I tried re-installing it from skype and fring websites but still has the same problem.

Fring wasn't the only app that allowed for Skype connectivity. Not sure if the other apps still support it as well, but you may want to do your own search for "skype" on the market too. Nimbuzz is just one of the other programs with skype connectivity, though I hear mixed things and haven't used it personally, I just pass the word along.
