Oct 27, 2018 · This is my recent work to extend klipper to support i2c devices in a generic way and add an additional i2c device to the mix: The SX1509 I2C-to-16GPIO expander found on the duex5 and duex2 generation of boards. I split the contribution into 3 commits to make bisecting the whole thing easier. Please let me know about any feedback you might have.

May 16, 2018 · However, to support Bluetooth on the RPi 3, the full UART was moved from the GPIO to the Bluetooth chip and the mini UART was made available on GPIO pins 8 and 10. It is possible to redirect the full UART to the GPIO, but requires configuration changes. For more detail about this topic, see Raspberry Pi's UART documentation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General-purpose_input/output
A general-purpose input/output (GPIO) is an uncommitted digital signal pin on an integrated circuit or electronic circuit board whose behavior—including whether it acts as input or output—is controllable by the user at run time. GPIOs have no predefined purpose and are unused by default.

Hello, I have written a patch adding Raspberry Pi GPIO support to SVXLINK's LocalTx. It's a bit hackish as it uses the sysfs files to toggle the GPIO value on a specified pin, but this method allows for a non-root user to change the value of the pin by chowning the proper file to svxlink.
This GPIO Pinout is designed to be both a quick and interactive reference to the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins, plus a comprehensive guide to your Raspberry Pi's GPIO interfaces. It also includes dozens of pinouts for Raspberry Pi add-on boards, HATs and pHATs. Support Pinout.xyz On Patreon. If you love Pinout, please help me fund new features and ...
