Feb 05, 2013 · Some days, I just want to hold a controller in my hands and kill a bunch of dudes that way. Fortunately, the mod community in Torchlight 2 has figured out a way to let me do just that. Runic Games forum user Krighton has created XInput Mapper, which is all set up to let you play Torchlight 2 with an Xbox 360 controller.

XInput Mapper is an application written solely for the purpose of enabling Xbox 360 support for Torchlight II. I may extend this to support other games in the future, hence the generic name. The original motivation behind this was to allow my son to play the game with me, as he's much more comfortable using a gamepad than a keyboard and mouse.

Morning everyone, Jus picked up TL2 yesterday and was sad to see Runic didn't add controller support to the game, something that seems should have been easy to do. I'm sure I'm probably in the minority here, but as more of a casual gamer (mostly console save for some time spent on CoX), I'm having a hard time getting comfortable with the point and click control scheme.

PC using CD has mod support. Steam may support mod, but it is not through their workshop. Modding was a good bonus, but you're using EGS, so never mind this part. I never tried using a controller on the PC version. I don't think it is supported, I could be wrong.

We will tweak it here and there based on your feedback before setting it as the default controller scheme.
