Most of the time, I just use the second monitor for secondary kinda stuff and still play my games on one monitor, because the vast majority of games I've played with eyefinity (3840x1080, hence two monitors) split the screen directly down the middle and of course that doesn't look great especially for FPSes, lol.

I agree with your claim that games should utilize dual monitors, however there isn't a large amount of consumers to make that practical. A well thought UI or menu for a second screen takes up studio resources that are otherwise unnecessary for the general market, given that most pc gamers (including myself) play on a single monitor without second screens of any type.
