Contact Garmin support via email. They exchanged mine (one month out of warranty) with a refurb unit that works well and looks like new. If you prefer not to be without a unit during the exchange, they will send you the refurbed unit, charge you for the cost of the unit then refund the cost once you return the faulty unit.

I bought the watch in May 2019 and in August it showed some dead pixels.But the spot became larger. The watch works okay, so no GPS issues. I don't swim or shower with the watch, and it has a screen protector. I have contacted Garmin support in the Netherlands. Hopefully they'll replace the watch under warranty.

May 10, 2019 · The collar was my first T-5 bought maybe 5 years ago and was out of warranty. I emailed Garmin and was promptly assisted via an email exchange. The service that was offered me was either I could send the collar in and for $99 they would send a replacement collar back out. I assume a refurbished one.
