@JB: gfortran suffers from a lack of f90 and beyond support. G95 is a much better option than gfortran. At least in my experience gfortran causes more problems than it solves. – user7116 Sep 20 '08 at 19:27

Mar 09, 2014 · I've seen several people mention in this newsgroup that they would like to have access to support for deferred-length character components. The gfortran developers would like to have users test this code soon as the next compiler release is imminent.

You may have chosen an undocumented entry point which relies on ifort support libraries. dgetrf is a documented call which doesn't depend on lapack95 (and is specialized to double precision) but ought to include gfortran compatible implementation.Author: Friendsfan
