Please download a new CD-ROM driver (GCDROM.SYS) that works with SATA CD and DVD drives. To work-around this issue, use the Ghost Boot Wizard create a bootable Boot Package that includes the GCDROM.SYS and MSCDEX.EXE files to allow for SATA support. Note : These drivers do not support SATA set to AHCI mode.

Since you can't edit, update or change a boot CD/DVD it's advisable to set up Ghost the way you want it, either on a DOS boot Floppy Disk or bootable Flash Drive. (We've already covered that, extensively) Once that's done and to your liking, Nero can indeed burn a COPY of that Ghost boot disk to a CD.

Aug 02, 2008 · This whole topic is stupid. if the person had legit copy of norton ghost he could just boot from the norton ghost CD, which can also run from windows and create a bootable CD or FLoppy that uses DR.DOS to run. Even 2003 supports SATA.
