Hi guys! We're running Netbackup 7.5.0.7 (writing out to Puredisk 6.6.5 and NBU Appliances). We have some SAP-HANA boxes from IBM. Our problem is that whilst the SAP-HANA Netbackup policies backup and restore ok, we have issues with the filesystem (standard type) backups and restores of the IBM GPFS filesystems.

Apr 29, 2015 · The file systems where the queue manager data and logs directories are configured should support O_SYNC flag, so if GPFS system is configured to enable O_SYNC, it should be supported. You also need to check with GPFS provider if it's necessary to set "directio" option in GPFS to make sure the data to be synced immediately.
