It does not seem to report any known capture opcode as available. Either its not reported or they use another new one (there are some commands unknown to me in the opcode list). Can you get a network trace between the windows software and the camera? Not sure how to do this with android, but perhaps you can sniff the wireless lan if not encrypted.

it is a new camera for which there is no support at all; To report a not yet supported camera to the gphoto development team follow the instructions below: If it a USB mass storage based camera (appearing like a USB stick or USB drive) it is mounted by your operating system and not gphoto2. In this case a report to us is not necessary.

When I run the camera in "PC mode" and try to capture an image I also get an error, although a different one(se command line output in the end of the mail) I have used gphote with an old canon camera and it works just perfect and I would love also to use gphoto with my new sony camera.
