    I don't have access to the files to remake the graph at the minute, but I don't think your assessment is correct. The switch to the lottery system was on 1 December 1969, which according to the graph happened during an increase in Boomer support for the war. Likewise, the My Lai massacre was revealed to the public in November 1969, during the same temporary surge in support.
