Sep 15, 2006 · I managed to install gstreamer-plugins-ugly and -bad and now have mp3 and m4a capability (BTW, it *was* ugly and bad - I had to ignore a dependency for a file required by directfb) I found an RPM "gstreamer-wav..", but could not find rpms providing most of its dependencies (all named libg<blah>.so.12)

I had the same problem with clementine and ubuntu 16.04 , although everything was working good before but suddenly m4a songs stopped to work . I open a single file using the default ubuntu video application it prompts me to install gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad

i'd like to include AAC as one of the compatible formats in my app but i'm having troubles with its encoding.
