May 26, 2013 · GTA IV is supported by SLI; It just only improves FPS by about 10%. It's not on the retail edition. And I've actually checked through every patches change-log and there's no mention of multi-GPU support being added. SLI is supported and enabled for GTA4, just follow the steps I outlined before to see the SLI indicator in game.

Jan 25, 2009 · Now with this patch, and SLI turned on, my dynamic shadows are present, and the game seems more stable. All I really know is atleast Rockstar gave us all the patch we have been waiting for. Now we need True SLI support from them, and nvidia.

Feb 15, 2009 · AFAIK GTA 4 doesn't support SLI... yet. So basically this is why you had no luck with it. Right now it doesn't matter which driver version you use, although the 180.84 seems to work best with new GTA.

Jun 24, 2014 · Ok folks after about an hour of screwing around I found the stuttering, for me, was caused by launching the game from Steam. Instead, with Steam running in the background, launch the game from SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV\GTAIV\LaunchGTAIV.exe . After doing this I get NO MORE STUTTERING OR LAG.
