Apr 16, 2009 · When GTA 4 was released on the PC on 2nd/3rd December 2008 it DID NOT support SLI. However by applying update 1 AND using at least the 180.84 driver from Nvidia will enable SLI with GTA 4. Been my experience that adding SLi support after the fact does not work as well as intended.

And I've actually checked through every patches change-log and there's no mention of multi-GPU support being added. SLI is supported and enabled for GTA4, just follow the steps I outlined before to see the SLI indicator in game.

Feb 03, 2009 · According to Rockstar SLI is supported from Update 1 and drivers 180.84. That is as much as anyone knows about the state of SLI and GTA 4. However from what I've heard this Support means jack all and Sli means less performance than using 1 GPU.

Guys, GTA 4 on PC was handled by Rockstar Toronto, this one is handled by the big boys, Rockstar North, so it will should be better in every way possible (when it comes to SLI/Crossfire support and other stuff that should be on every PC game). Unfortunately don't expect AA in this one either because of the limitations of the RAGE engine.
