Feb 11, 2014 · WMC does not support line-input such as S-video, but only tuner input. I have an HVR-2250 (for OTA/ATSC) along with a Ceton InfiniTV (for cable) and have been using WMC and Win7 for more almost 4 years now. The 2-tuner Hauppauge card replaced a 1-tuner ATI TV Wonder 650PCI card several years ago.

Feb 23, 2013 · 1. Windows Pro 8 (USD 49) was installed as an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8. After the Windows 8 installation, we installed WinTV HVR 2250 as we had an older Pinnacle TV Tuner card that exhibited the same problems that the new card shows, i.e. when clicking "live tv setup", I receive "Windows Media Center has stopped working" message.
