    The M.2 slot functions fine regardless of whether the notebook using Legacy or UEFI mode, and I can install whatever OS to the drive without issue, however the system won't boot to the M.2 SSD when set to Legacy mode... and this isn't an NVMe SSD, it's M.2 SATA.     Same problem here: HP EliteDesk 800 G3 TWR, unable to enable legacy mode (you can select the setting, but it does not get saved). Bios version 2.06. Solution: Change the setting to "Legacy boot enable, secure boot disable" and press F10 to save and exit (and save before you exit of course).
