Dec 14, 2008 · Not sure if I'm imagining it but from my research HP do not support any iSCSI HBA's that are on the ESX HCL!! It's well known that the QLogic HBA's - QLA4050, QLA4052 and recently added QLE4060, QLE4062 are the only supported iSCSI HBA's for ESX.

Is it possible to add the iSCSI support into the cards? I've got another card with the same Broadcom chip from another vendor and there is no problem with the iSCSI boot support. P.S. HP MSA 1040 2-port 10G iSCSI Dual Controller LFF Storage Link on HP.com. I thought to connect them through SPF+ port on DL380 's 556FLR adapter, BUT on specification page of HP MSA 1040 chosen it's showing only SFP port for 10G iSCSI connection. Despite this in Service and options page of MSA 1040 they are showing SFP+ to SFP+ compatible cables.
