Aug 07, 2011 · I agree with this. It's a shame to lose that recovery partition but if you are going back to SL, it has to go. When you start, assuming you can boot from a SL dvd or USB, make sure you go to a single partition scheme, GUID partition table so that you have only one empty partition formatted MacOS (Journaled) before you launch the SL installer.

Aug 16, 2011 · I did the same thing on my 1-day old MacBook Air. It didn't come with a recovery USB stick, and the Internet recovery option wasn't working. I took it to my local Apple store and at the time they hadn't gotten their Lion recovery drives. I mean, the MBA had just been released the day before.
