Sep 17, 2016 · Copy the firmware file to the ColorSpace UDMA hard drive via computer USB. Alternatively, you can also copy the firmware file to a CF or SD card. Power on the ColorSpace UDMA. Select Function > Firmware Update Press the Right cursor key on the drive where the firmware file is located. (DO NOT PRESS CENTER KEY BUTTON!!!)

And if you look at their website, it’s the HyperDrive ColorSpace UDMA3. That’s all fair enough, but where it gets unnecessarily confusing is with the UDMA3 part. UDMA is a transfer protocol. For our purposes, it’s mostly relevant to CompactFlash cards. It stands for Ultra Direct Memory Access.

Dec 14, 2015 · The HyperDrive UDMA uses the Ultra Direct Memory Access interface method to transfer data at speeds up to 30 MB/s. When I was testing it, I was able to pull off a transfer speed of about 28.8 MB/s (1.7GB per minute). This is considered fast compare to many other devices out there.
