Feb 11, 2011 · Don't quote me on this but believe they added AHCI support to the ICH10 OR ICH10R in V8, I think you might need to get a real RAID controller in order to do RAID. I know in the BIOS you can set it to IDE, ACHI or RAID mode. So I think you may either be out of luck or you may need to buy a RAID card if you have the extra $$$$

Jul 28, 2008 · The base ICH chip supports AHCI but it is up to the motherboard manufacturer to implement the BIOS support for it. And the operating system would need to bring native AHCI support as well, because Intel's Matrix Storage drivers do not support AHCI on the base ICH chips.
