Jul 15, 2015 · I cannot view .png pages in Internet Explorer. I think this problem ends up sounding sort of weird when other people, or I write it out. It's hard to explain what exactly the problem is. People who answer the question think that we want to change the PNG file associations to Windows Explorer or something. So I will try to make it clear:

Apr 23, 2018 · IE 11 does not seem to open .png files using "Open with." It only opens when I type the full path into the address bar and hit enter and repeat this at least two or three times then it opens the image. When it has opened a png image it allows other png images to open by way of drag and drop.

Jun 28, 2016 · @etpinard so does this mean that we cannot use the toImage method in IE 11, but will work in IE Edge for windows 10 with crossOrigin, please let me know if I have understood it correct. Also if toImagemethod is not supported for IE11 then what are the alternatives for the same.

Mar 07, 2012 · Any idea as to why these would not show up? I understand that not all versions of IE support png files, however it was my understanding that 9 should support them, so I'm baffled as to why it isn't. As I said, I've googled and found this to be a wide spread problem through all versions of IE, but nobody really has a good answer.

An IE 8 beta tester. I've played around. Windows offered me to choose Opera (9.64) to open .png files by default. With Opera set as .png handler, IE8 displayed only the alternate text. The same happened when I set MS paint as the .png handler. (...) It seems IE's image code is related to the software the images are associated with. It shouldn't.

Mar 28, 2012 · IE does display both jpg and gif graphics. Tried to "re-register" the pngflt.dll file (per another MS Support suggestion) and got the message "Dll Register Server entry point not found. File can not be registered." I appreciate any insights, but will be away from this computer and will not be able to respond for a little while Thanks
