Aug 15, 2008 · I have the same problem. I cant get imovie to work or photo booth. They both say the graphics card does not support quartz extreme. Obviously this is a load of rubbish as it always used to work, and i am running a 12 month old macbook which has core graphics.

Mar 15, 2009 · last week i tried getting into imovie, and a message comes up. It says "imovie requires a graphics card that is compatible with quartz extreme. One or more of your graphics cards does not support quartz extreme." I have been on a couple forums where people have had the same problem, and there doesn't seem to be a solution.

This is the message that pops up when I open iMovie, "iMovie requires a graphics card that is compatible with Quartz Extreme. One or more of your graphics cards does not support Quartz Extreme."
