The point is that in 11.5X engines supposedly Informix *has* DRDA built in, unlike prior versions like 7.X that required a DRDA gateway product.

You cannot connect to a DRDA listener using IBM Informix Client SDK (CSDK). CSDK does not support DRDA. If you want to connect using DRDA, you need to use the IBM Data Server Client which is the Common Client driver.
