Nov 06, 2012 · If I understand correctly, I can install Direct3D Support when installing the Guest Additions by answering "No" in the "Would you like to install basic Direct3D support" dialog displayed when the Direct3D feature is selected. Furthermore, this has to be done in Safe Mode.

Just grabbed VirtualBox yesterday, and discovered this problem today. Without Direct3D support, VirtualBox is worthless to me. With it, I'd be willing to pay quite a bit for it. It's a shame, because you guys have done such a fantastic job with this software. Very user friendly, and *much* faster than qemu.
