Sep 17, 2008 · Given the lack of OpenGL support in your X server, your best bet will be manually copying your CUDA results back to the CPU for visualization using a non-3D X11 drawing library. You won't get a particularly great framerate, but since you are looking at X11 over the network anyway, you can't expect much.

Then, test it by installing and running something simple like xeyes (no OpenGL, just X11), and then test OpenGL with glxgears. As an aside, if you do this on a real linux machine that can render using real hardware, using export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 will cause it to render the frame locally and then send it to the X server as a bitmap.
