Audio Bitstreaming is a part of the specifications of HDMI 1.3, you're thinking of 1.2, which didn't support HD Audio codecs. Checkerboard 3D is also supported through HDMI 1.3. Framepacking is what's not support by HDMI 1.3. So since HD Audio & Checkerboard 3D are both within the specifications of HDMI 1.3, they are supposed to work.

Oct 29, 2009 · Hi, I have installed windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and have now found I get no sound through the HDMI device. I had a simlar issue in Vista and found I had to use an older Nvidia Driver 175.97 for Geforce 7650 GS inorder to get this working with "Speaker" as default device...However in Windows 7 even using this older driver does not work.
