I am new to IntelliJ IDEA and I am having a hard time figuring out how to create a simple JSF project. I used eclipse so I really am not familiar on how to properly create modules in IntelliJ. I tried creating a new project > Java Module > clicked JSF and I successfully created a JSF module but it's using JSP pages instead of facelets XHTML.

Seam/facelets support has been rewritten and is much more powerful in Diana (though there still is the occasional bug). That said: I am not quite sure what you mean by "facelets were not imported". Please have a look at IDE Settings -> File Types. For Idea 8 you should have your *.xhtml files assigned to Facelets file type.

support? I think the Demetra roadmap pretty much covers it unless you are talking about wysiwyg facelets development. Facelets are not JSPs and the word "facelets" doesn't exist in the roadmap. I'd like to open the JBoss Seam examples which use Facelets without all files beeing marked red, because IntelliJ doesn't find the TLDs.

Oct 25, 2007 · Does IntelliJ support facelets? I'm using NB 5.5 atm and there is a third party plugin that provides decent Facelets support that I have been using for Seam development. NB 6.0+ so far doesn't look like it is even on the horizon in addition there is no Groovy support which is something we are really starting to look at. Thanks, S.D.
