I've discussed the PNG Color Problem in Internet Explorer and its solution with screen shots. The solution is to remove the gamma chunk from the PNG image (using TweakPNG utility for example). This makes the images render in the correct shades in Internet Explorer. Some uncommon browsers may still behave erratically.

Jul 15, 2015 · I cannot view .png pages in Internet Explorer. I think this problem ends up sounding sort of weird when other people, or I write it out. It's hard to explain what exactly the problem is. People who answer the question think that we want to change the PNG file associations to Windows Explorer or something.
