Jul 03, 2007 · Does iPhone support WPA-PSK authentication? If so, does it support TKIP encryption? I'm having a heck of a time trying to set up my work network on the iPhone, though my MacBook Pro handles it just fine.

May 04, 2009 · I have a customer that is having difficulty connecting to her work WiFi network. She says it is a WPA-PSK network and when she enters the password, it comes back unable to connect. I dont know anything at all about WPA-PSK and firstly need to know if this is compatible with the iPhone?

WPA Version and Type (PSK, TKIP or AES) The iPhone isn't the problem. Mine works fine on WPA2-PSK (AES) which in turn works fine with my other laptops. Some laptops don't support WPA2 and some don't support AES / TKIP. Some only support WPA-PSK which is fine security wise, just use a password like ir3la4d (i.e. Non dictionary, alphanumeric)

Jan 07, 2013 · Now I get wifi connection even when I go down to the floor below me (4th floor) I changed the security options from WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] to WPA2-PSK [AES] and the channel from Auto to channel 9. Hope this helps others!
