As far as I know, the default HDD mode is JBOD(Just a Bunch Of Disks) on thinksystem. This is normal. Yes, if you would like to make raid storage, you need to change the HDD mode from JBOD to Ugood first. Usually, you couldn't/shouldn't mix them in one raid array. In one array, the HDD mode should be same. Thanks. Karl
