    Jul 06, 2009 · Hi, I'm trying to get familiar with Joomla and run it on a local test server, however at the pre installation check Joomla is saying that MySQL Support is unavailable, yet I have both MySQL 5.0.22 installed and running perfectly on my Windows XP machine with IIS installed.

    Sep 07, 2007 · UPDATE: If you enable php_mysql.dll it works, which makes little sense because with MySQL 5.0 you are supposed to be using php_mysqli.dll. I will try the installation and see how everything goes, but at least it doesnt tell me that MySQL support is unavailable.
