Oct 26, 2005 · Part of LUFS must reside in the kernel, and part is run in user mode (as can be read on the page I linked to). As we are all "strongly advised" against messing with the kernel - to say the least - it would be nice to see LUFS support already included in the COS kernel, so the utilities needed to actually mount something can be run.
