Sep 07, 2010 · My understanding of the physics of boat trailering is not that the hydraulics aren't able to support the motor on the road, it is that motor is bouncing on the back of the boat and stressing the transom. Although the kicker is only 1/4 of the weight of the big motor, one would think you would want to minimize bouncing.

Jul 20, 2004 · THe electric motor on the mount will not let the motor down and the strap will prevent it from going upwards. Therefore the strap will secure the motor in place during the roughest of conditions. The key thing is to keep that strap tight. This will save your kicker motor from breaking apart when traveling in rough water.
