Kindle DX PDF Review Conclusion The thing with the Kindle DX is that it's really good for displaying PDF files in their original layout and for zooming in, but that's where it ends. Aside from running searches and adding bookmarks, there's no way to interact with a PDF file.

The Kindle DX adds native PDF support and a screen large enough to view most PDFs. The 9.7” diagonal display is 2.5x larger than the Kindle, Kindle 2 and Sony Reader PRS-505’s 6” display. The 6” readers have 800 x 600 pixel resolution 167ppi displays while the Kindle DX is 1200 x 824 at 150ppi.

May 11, 2011 · Kindle DX PDF Support Limitations Amazon Kindle. I think these may all be related to the missing 5-way capability. However, for annotation and highlighting there is the additional issue of how to specify a location in the PDF accurately.

The PDF support is so convenient, but means I especially miss the SD card slot from the first Kindle. It would make life with the DX a far sight easier. So the screen is bigger, but perhaps still...
