Openswan is a very good IPSec VPN software available on Linux. It supports two protocol stacks, the native NETKEY and KLIPS. Many Linux distribution kernel contains support for NETKEY (with NAT Tranversal), and building a klips module is quite easy(However, if you want NAT-T support, you must patch and rebuild your kernel if your kernel version is less than 2.6.23).

And indeed, the fix for BUG 484590 seems to make the cause of the crash when using NAT-T to go away. What I need to know is if KLIPS is curretly support on CentOS and, if so, who should I look for help: CentOS or openswan.
