Mar 12, 2009 · I'm tried adobe-flash-plugin and ns-flash in firefox3 and neither produce any sound output with libflashsupport-pulse, but both see to work fine with libflashsupport. This is netbsd-5 i386, latest pkgsrc and everything built with PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS=pulseaudio Is anyone else seeing similar?

I would give up if I were you. If pulseaudio installs and runs its fine. If it doesn't work first time there are too many poorly documented possible reasons why. On one of my own machines I eventually got it working, but there were several things to fix before it did - not one problem, but several. Huh? So I make yum.conf say "multilib_policy=best" and still no change. The only way I can get the .i386 version of libflashsupport installed is by calling it out: yum install libflashsupport.i386 Is multilib_policy=best hardcoded, regardless of what the config file says?

Jan 23, 2009 · i386 Servers ONLY: Install the 'libflashsupport' package to allow sound to flow correctly over LTSP/PulseAudio: sudo apt-get install libflashsupport. That should be all you need! (Re)Start Firefox on a thin-client for it to recognize the new plugin.

I installed F9 and flash-plugin from Adobe's repo on my i386 box yesterday. Video appears normal but there is no audio. Anyone else seeing this? There's a problem with Adobe's package that means it's not install libflashsupport - just do a yum install libflashsupport.i386 and it will work perfectly :) Best, Jon Yes, that fixes it. Thanks!
