Jan 03, 2008 · It's found in /Library/StartupItems. If someone with a fairly new clean install of Leopard can look to see if it is installed by default, I'd appreiciate it. According to MacFixit, StartupItems are being deprecated, so I'm wondering what this code does and what applications it's associated with.

I think it said "Checking PACE services" or something like that. We ran DiskWarrior and it ground away for HOURS. Finally, it completed and found a TON of problems. After much research, I found out that upon upgrading PT, it installed an upgraded PACE/iLok extension that was newer than one installed originally with Mach5.

Jul 17, 2010 · OK. Prior to looking at your reply on this site I did the following. 1. Used Onyx to make invisible file visible. 2. Had an aha moment and looked in the logs to find that a file HP<something> was not owned by uid(0).
