agreed- i made a lightning tendrils build and ended up switching to ball lightning crit because it felt way stronger. kept lightning tendrils for single target for a while but ball lit even performs better for that IMO. i might just be my build, but i really feel that ball lightning is the better skill. maybe not in early levels but definitely in end game

So, I really like using ":Lightning Tendrils", But I was wondering something about how it works with support Gems. I am using "Lightning Tendrils" with the support gem "Life Gain on Hit". Which has the description "+10 Life gained for each enemy hit by the supported attack" But Lightning Tendrils hits 4 times, each time you cast the ability.

Mar 10, 2019 · Even with a good lightning damage build focused on lightning tendrils, if you put a incinerate with Added lightning damage support it will be much better, in damage and AoE, with pratically the same gear, no need to change anything. The added damage multipler is pretty bad. Well the problem is, the incinerate is better.

Just build for pure Lightning Tendrils and stack crit/crit-multi on the tree. Use Blasphemy + Warlord's Mark for sustain and Kaom's Roots for survivability. Go MoM and use Mind of the Council to sustain your mana. Also make sure you are using an Orb of Storms setup. In combination with Lightning Tendrils it increases your DPS substantially.

Oct 27, 2014 · Currently testing Lightning Tendrils as the main skill on my lvl 58 Scion with the main focus on AoE without crit. Currently i use it a 4L with Lightning Penetration, Faster Casting and Added Chaos but i have several other support gems leveling offhand for testing. Also testing synergies with Herald of Ice and of course Thunder.
