Aug 25, 2019 · My IT person read that there is a fundamental problem with Lightroom which Adobe steadfastly refuse to address. Lightroom employs an "open source" freely available database known as SQL-Light. SQL-Light has known issues when working over a network.

On top of that, Adobe strictly forbids placing catalogs on network volumes, because it can result in all kinds of Lightroom database corruption issues (placing photographs on a network share is supported). In short, Lightroom is a “single-user” application with no support for multi-user access.

Nov 15, 2019 · I have spent about 15 hours on chat with various tech support people from adobe and thus far the problem persists with no solution as it seems there is no way to link to the network directly from the program. I have no network issues and my network is strong and intact!!! Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Lightroom CC is too automated imo. You can also have catalogues on external drives! My issue is a unique bug since it's not a network drive and should work.
