The Linksys WUSB54G wireless network card is an old piece of hardware. After upgrading to Microsoft Windows 10 or 8, the device stopped working properly. Microsoft Update installed drivers that would work for a few seconds, but then would disconnect repeatedly. Fortunately, I found a workaround. I located some community drivers for the WUSB54G.

heres how i fumbled around and was able to get it to work with win 7 beta. i copyed my install cd to a folder on my desktop then went to the device manager in control panel/hardware and sound. opened device manger and under other devices fd it and hit update driver and poited it too the xp driver folder. that installed it and i was able to enter the pass key. i was then connected to my router ...

Confirmed! Just to restate: ~This will only work if you have model WUSB54G, Version 4.0 or above,. for Windows 7 (32 bit). ~Click here to go to the Download site for the driver. Even though it is by Ralink, it will still work for the Linksys hardware.
