Once done with the firmware upgrade the settings will still be the retained. Unless you will do a hard reset on the router itself, the settings then will be back to the default settings.

Hope the sudden disappearance of firmware 1.0.0.15 and 16 means that Belkin/Linksys will produce a update. I have seen that for the included Atheros AR5416 chip updates are still produced. Would be a wonderful result of the takeover and there are still many other Belkin/Linksys products to buy.

As a replacement for my Linksys WAG200G router I purchased a Linksys MAX-STREAM AC1900 MU-MIMO GIGABIT ROUTER; Model No.: EA7500. I am not a technical person and did not realise that the AC1900 MU-MIMO GIGABIT ROUTER does not include a DSL modem and thus am unable to install/connect the router to the Internet.
