After some researching in the internet I thought it was an acpi-issue and with a similar problem somebody had success in setting a grub boot parameter to acpi=force, but it didn't work for me. When I type acpi in the terminal I get: No support for device type: power_supply. But acpi is installed: #acpi -v gives me acpi 1.7

Dec 06, 2019 · I need some help with setting charge thresholds for my lenovo legion Y540. I have tried to achieve the same using TLP and TLPUI, but it won't work. Also, tlp battery stats shows No kernel support for natacpi. As far as I know, natacpi should be supported by default for kernel > 4.17. Still for 4.19 and 5.3 it says not supported.

Is it possible to turn on/off power supplies from USB manually with Linux? There's this external USB cooling fan (the kind you use to cool yourself off, not the PC), and it would be nice to be able to control it from the terminal, because I want to position the fan somewhere far away.
