    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/arm/vfp/release-notes.html
This is the first release of the Linux Kernel VFP support code. It provides support for the exceptions bounced from VFP hardware found on ARM926EJ-S. This release has been validated against the SoftFloat-2b library by John R. Hauser using the TestFloat-2a test suite. Details of this library and test suite can be found at:

Kernel mode NEON — The Linux Kernel documentation

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/arm/kernel_mode_neon.html
VFP and support code¶ Earlier versions of VFP (prior to version 3) rely on software support for things like IEEE-754 compliant underflow handling etc. When the VFP unit needs such software assistance, it signals the kernel by raising an undefined instruction exception.

Any disadvantages to enabling VFP in the Linux Kernel?

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21946881/any-disadvantages-to-enabling-vfp-in-the-linux-kernel
The kernel disables VFP/Neon for a task and when an instruction executes, it traps to an undefined instructions, the Neon/VFP is noted, enabled and code resumes as per normal. When it is flagged as active, then state is stored. The only disadvantage is slightly larger page-locked kernel code. – artless noise Feb 24 '14 at 21:35

ARM Marvell SoCs — The Linux Kernel documentation

    https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/arm/marvel.html
ARM Marvell SoCs¶. This document lists all the ARM Marvell SoCs that are currently supported in mainline by the Linux kernel. As the Marvell families of SoCs are large and complex, it is hard to understand where the support for a particular SoC is available in the Linux kernel.
