Jul 01, 2011 · 'modinfo lirc_serial' shows that I am now using the kernel supplied version; It was still necessary to "install" lirc (this time I used the debian .deb) to get the commands (ie irsend etc) It is still not working; but I believe there are some things that need to be done that the .deb package does not take take care of; I am re-reading the lirc doc to see what has been missed Gary
