Apr 04, 2005 · Today I was reading on a site and discovered that the Lucent Win Modem driver could be installed to replace the Compaq driver. "Lucent" is written on the big black chip on the modem. I upgraded to the Lucent Driver ver. 5 When I tried to connect, the same thing happened as before.

Re: Lucent Win Modem HELP!!!! As Greg says you need the correct driver. The driver from your PC's maker is usually your best bet but if they don't offer one then you can use the generic one.
