Mar 08, 2017 · ActiveX may be a bit more complicated than simply running it as an x86 Application on Mac because it's a service and a toolset and it's optimized for Windows OS routines exclusively. If virtualization is an option I would pursue it that way.

My client has a product based on Excel spreadsheets (2003- compatible) that we are porting to the Mac targeting Office 2011. These files using a significant amount of VBA code to check for valid licenses, perform functions, etc.

Sep 14, 2006 · Much to my dismay, Internet Explorer is not recognized as ActiveX capable in Parallels. And it's going to be a big pain to reboot via Bootcamp just to enter bills and such. (And just so we don't go down this path, I'v ebeen running QB for Mac, but it's not full featured enough, so I had to go to a Windows or online version).
